About the study:
This University of Sydney study will take place in 2 stages:
Stage 1 – Create your own obesity prevention Instagram post.
The first stage of the study asks you to make an Instagram post for an imaginary obesity-prevention Instagram health campaign that speaks to you and is inclusive of your experience with your disability, health condition and/or illness.
Please note that you need not post on your own personal Instagram account, as a research Instagram account will be provided where you can post anonymously. The Instagram post creation stage may take half an hour to a few hours.
Stage 2 – Take part in an online video interview.
The second stage involves an online video interview about your thoughts on two Australian obesity prevention Instagram campaigns, and whether the campaigns are inclusive of your experience with their disability, health condition and/or illness. Participants will also be asked about their relationship with their weight, their usage of Instagram and about the Instagram post they made during Stage 1.
The interview is expected to take anywhere from 1 hour to 2.5 hours.
Participants will also receive a $40 gift card for participating in the study.
